MSTRMND vs Yotpo: Why Ecommerce Loyalty and Wallet Cards Are Different Jobs
MSTRMND vs Yotpo is less a head-to-head than a question of which job you have. Yotpo Loyalty is built for ecommerce brands. MSTRMND is built for venues with regulars who walk in. This page shows where each fits and where they overlap.

MSTRMND vs Yotpo: the short answer
Yotpo Loyalty is loyalty and referral software for ecommerce brands, from growing stores to large enterprises. MSTRMND is a wallet loyalty system for businesses where customers visit in person: salons, barbershops, cafés, clinics and similar. If most of your sales happen on a website, Yotpo is aimed at you. If most happen at a counter, MSTRMND is.
The overlap is small but real: both can issue a loyalty card through Apple Wallet, and both can reach customers after a purchase. We are MSTRMND, so read this with that in mind. Where the other product is the better fit, we say so. New to wallet cards? Start with our guide to digital loyalty cards.
What Yotpo Loyalty offers
On its loyalty page, Yotpo describes “results-driven loyalty programs, built to scale”. It names these ecommerce platforms: Shopify, BigCommerce, WooCommerce, Adobe Commerce and Salesforce Commerce Cloud. Its features include customisable loyalty, omnichannel tools, rewards, referrals, earning rules for actions beyond purchases such as reviews, loyalty tiers and a feature for sending expiring points to segments. The FAQ mentions digital loyalty cards through Apple Wallet.
It also offers migration from other platforms, launch specialists and ongoing strategy support, and cites more than 180 technical integration partners. The page shows no exact prices and says pricing is “clear, predictable”, with a link to a pricing page. It does not mention a free plan.

Where the two overlap
A brand that sells online and also runs a shop or pop-up has a foot in each world. Yotpo is strongest where the data lives in an ecommerce platform: orders, products, reviews. MSTRMND is strongest where the customer is standing at a counter and the loyalty step takes a scan.
If you are one of those mixed brands, the two do different jobs. Our guide to the Shopify loyalty card shows how a wallet card can be fed by online orders, which is one way to bring the two together without choosing only one.

Questions to ask each vendor before you sign
MSTRMND vs Yotpo is decided by where you sell, but a few questions are worth asking whichever way you lean.
- What is the price for my size, in writing? Yotpo’s loyalty page shows no figures.
- Which connector do you use for my store platform, and who maintains it?
- Is migration and launch support included, or an extra?
- How are Apple Wallet cards offered, and on which plan?
- What are the contract length and renewal terms?
If you also run a shop or pop-up, ask whether online orders and in-person visits can feed one customer record. That is the question where the two products overlap most.
How to decide in ten minutes
- Look at where your sales happen: web or counter.
- Note which platform your store runs on.
- Decide whether reviews and referrals matter more than visits.
- Ask for a written quote from each.
- If you are mixed, consider the wallet card fed by orders.
Frequently asked questions
Is MSTRMND an alternative to Yotpo?
For online-only brands, no: Yotpo Loyalty is built for ecommerce platforms such as Shopify and BigCommerce. For venues with in-person regulars, such as salons, barbershops and cafés, MSTRMND is the better fit. A brand that sells both ways can connect orders to a wallet card through the API.
Does Yotpo offer Apple Wallet cards?
Yotpo’s loyalty page mentions digital loyalty cards through Apple Wallet in its FAQ. It is not the focus of the product, which centres on ecommerce loyalty and referrals. MSTRMND issues both Apple Wallet and Google Wallet cards on every plan, joined from a QR code with no app.
Which is cheaper?
Yotpo’s loyalty page shows no prices, so a fair comparison needs a quote from Yotpo. MSTRMND publishes £31, £69 and £115 a month when billed annually, with plan limits. Because the two are built for different kinds of business, price is rarely the first thing to compare.
Can I use both?
Some mixed brands might. A brand that sells on Shopify and also trades from a shop could run ecommerce loyalty online and a wallet card in the shop, or feed online orders to the wallet card with the API on the Business plan. Test whether one list is simpler than two before you commit to both.
